An exercise in the use of clean lines, a minimal colour palette and tight space planning. This busy family needed a low-fuss, high-function kitchen, with materials that would stand up to the test of time. The main focus of the galley configuration is the end wall, for which the client wanted an unorthodox treatment. The clean, minimal palette inspired us to bring nature into the space as an eye-catching juxtaposition. Images were taken of an ivy covered wall, converted into wallpaper and covered with clear, toughened glass for longevity. The layout of the space was designed to allow everything to be at one's fingertips and long bench tops provide ample prep space as well as a quick spot for kids' meals.
